CCTV development where you can see your face from a distance of 60M

Clear even at night

"The suspect in the murder case in an underground parking lot has been caught by surveillance camera. However, the camera was taken about 10 meters away from the CCTV camera lens, making it impossible to distinguish the face. It would be nice if there was a zoom-in function to pull the target….’

Most CCTVs in operation now have this problem. Face identification is possible only when the target is within the range of 2.7 to 7.2 meters, and there is no zoom function.

A research team led by the Security Cognitive Technology Research Group of the Korea Institute of Standards and Science said on Wednesday that it has developed a CCTV technology that can monitor 60 meters, more than 20 times the existing product, and can clearly capture the target even at night or in bad weather. The technology has been transferred to a video surveillance company and is set to be commercialized.

The CCTV consists of a general camera, a thermal infrared camera, and a movement tracking camera. The camera can be tracked 30 faces at once because the shooting angle is wide and the camera can be moved quickly.

In particular, it has a function that automatically zooms in to the resolution that can check the face when the tracking target is determined.
